Description

Bosque Nativo Hostel is a refuge for adventurers and those who like to travel back in time. The Hostel dates back to 1939 and has survived the biggest earthquake ever recorded. Now, celebrating its seventieth birthday, Bosque Nativo Hostel has been reconstructed and restored in order to offer visitors from all over the world a tribute to the source of pride for southern Chile: the native forest.
Bosque Nativo Hostel is an auto financed unit owned by the Agrupacion de Ingenieros Forestales por el Bosque Nativo. The non government and non profit Valdivian organization works for the conservation and sustainable management of Chiles native forests. By choosing Bosque Nativo Hostel you are contributing to the worldwide conservation of biodiversity, the natural habitat of many flora and fauna that only exist in our country.

Facilities

    Excellent attention, free breakfast, dining room and kitchen available for use; it is safe and clean, it has 20 beds, free WiFi internet, full cable TV, luggage lockers, laundry and dryer, comfortable spaces for shared TV room and tourist information.

Directions

From the bus station, you can take a taxi and in less than 4 minutes you will be at the Hostel. The charge should be worth of about 800 pesos. If you want to get there walking, follow the waterfront in favor of the current for 5 blocks and stop in the corner of Caupolican street. Then, walk up the street until you reach Janequeo street. There, turn right, and you will find the passage where Bosque Nativo is located: 290 Fresia. It is Just one block far from the promenade, three blocks far from the Republic square, and 10 minutes far from the University Austral of Chile.
